When global brands refurbish their hotels, they look for furniture that delivers both design and durability. At the voco™ Rockingham Forest Hotel in Corby, the brief was clear: create stylish, comfortable spaces where guests can dine and relax, while ensuring every piece performs under the demands of busy hospitality use.
DeFrae Contract Furniture worked closely with the project team to supply bespoke banquette seating, dining chairs, lounge furniture and tables for the hotel’s Embers Bar & Grill restaurant. As a specialist hotel furniture supplier, we collaborated with designers to achieve a cohesive look that combines modern style with guest comfort and long-lasting quality.
At the heart of the restaurant is our handmade bespoke banquette seating. Upholstered in Crib5 fabrics from Kai, Delius and Panaz, the seating features brass laminate and solid wood bases. In addition, scatter cushions provide extra comfort. As a result, the restaurant feels refined and welcoming, while also handling high levels of footfall with ease.
Across the restaurant, our Kitty, Nico, Gordona and Calm Co restaurant chairs, together with Opal armchairs, bring comfort and versatility. Each was custom upholstered in Crib5 fabrics from Sunbury Design, Panaz and ILIV. Consequently, these finishes elevate the restaurant’s look and guarantee dependable performance service after service.
In addition, the restaurant tables feature Egger laminates such as Natural Carini Walnut with brass ABS edge and Black U999 ST20 with brass ABS edge. These sit alongside the hotel’s Carrara marble tops. We paired them with Zeus round brass bases and Forza round black bases in different heights and sizes to suit both dining and bar layouts.
Meanwhile, the bar showcases our Viola 008 lounge chairs, designed for relaxed comfort. Sleek black metal frames hold two-tone Crib5 upholstery from ILIV, Sunbury Design and Panaz. This combination ties the bar’s palette together and reinforces its modern identity.
Finally, to complete the bar, Auzet bar stools were upholstered in Crib5 Dawson’s Ocean fabric by Clarke & Clarke. Their durable build and bold colour bring a confident finishing touch to the Embers Bar & Grill.
